What happens when we become better at turning our attention away from the external performance of a self and toward our internal experience?

Somatics, the study of self, experienced from within, offers a perspective that integrates the body and mind. It recognizes that every experience has both physical and psychological dimensions, affecting us in ways that may either drain or nourish us. Over time, certain experiences create compensatory patterns that cost more than benefit over the long run. While this awareness has been present throughout history, modern life has often distanced us from the whole-body knowledge and practices that others have long since known. However, contemporary research methods are now rediscovering and incorporating these holistic approaches to address, in simple ways, the health concerns in our modern world.

Embodying ourselves is the birthplace of authentic, meaning, and joy.

The Restructure

Our embedded corporal infrastructure becomes the sedimented choreography that maintains our worldview and can be re-constructed and reactivated such that the implicit unconscious moves into consciousness to create explicit awareness and new understanding. The coaching + yoga process casts light into the unilluminated recesses of the self, inviting forgotten memories, experiences, and events to be recalled, considering or reconsidering their meaning with present-day understandings. The retelling in the present reactivates the sediment rather than letting it play itself out anonymously through our lives.

Change the sediment into cultivated soils, where new seeds can germinate and grow into the garden of your truest self.
